  • Suggest a BU resolution for 2014

It's almost New Year's Eve, almost the start of Valley play, almost 2014. After this December, it's great to have a clean slate. Hope springs eternal, and right now we're tied for first in the conference.

If you could wish one thing for Bradley basketball for 2014 -- one direction it should go, whether on the court, in marketing, recruiting.....anything -- what would you wish for?

You get one resolution. I'll go first.

In 2014, I hope Bradley begins a long, long, long streak of avoiding the Thursday play-in game in STL. I still believe it can happen this year, if the Braves find a way to pass their chemistry exam.

    Your turn. Happy 2014!

    AZ BU Fan resolves:

    1. To be on time and make no mistakes posting contest results in the 2013-14 MVC Regular Season Game Pick Em Contest, right here on BradleyFans.com! (Shameless plug )

    2. To quit with the snarky satire, corny jokes, bad puns, image gags, song parodies, and stupid haiku posts in 2014 here on BradleyFans.com

    3. To never criticize BU again for firing JL and for constantly wishing he were back coaching on the Hilltop...

    THE PENNY resolves:

    1. To beat reigning champion "DC" in the 2013-14 MVC Regular Season Game pick em contest, right here on BradleyFans.com, at any cost! (Shameless plug II)

    2. To somehow support a BU mascot that isn't the one he (THE PENNY) suggested to the BU Athletic Dept.

suspend the "maintainence" for one year so you don't lose another 1000 fans who won't renew tickets...or refund the price increase for those whose seats were doubled & tripled in cost.

Agree with Ex games and the Red/White on campus......please try to bring the loyal fans back without re-inventing the wheel!

Stop deleting posts from fans who chose to be unhappy with BU or Glasser (this post will soon be deleted)

Bring in kids who can help this program get back to championship contention and soon . I can't do just one, also help this team to realize team is spell with no I in it. That would solve a lot of our problems. IMO

No, we'll allow it. But please be polite and not too personal or negative. We get complaints.

Sorry Da Coach. This will probably need to go to another thread but i disagree with your answer somewhat. I hope you are not bowing down to Bradley pressure. That being either agree with me or dont say anything at all. Too much of that going on in this country already. I dont think saying one does not like what Glasser or Cross are doing to the program is negative. It is criticism. I dont know them personally. They may be nice people but what they are doing with the Athletic program is wrong. If they are telling you they dont want to hear it then that is wrong

No that is not an issue. We just would like to keep the discussion polite and civil. I appreciate your opinions.

Bring life, energy, youth to campus, arena, and program.

I have been in Peoria for about 8 years. Never have had a student section at Bradley games. The band is their student section. Their is no home court advantage in my opinion with out a rowdy student section. Bradley's fans right now seem old and lifeless (I don't mean that negative). Just not the fun, energetic, creative, youthful loud, sign carrying, college drunk fan. Minimal heckling going on. Just doesn't seem like a college atmosphere. Illinois, Duke, Michigan St: are just student sections that stick out in my mind that really bring something to their schools home games. Recruits should have seats floor level or exteremely close to the bench. So they get the feel of what its like in to play on the floor there. Find with to get students to the games!

Geno is a lively guy with tons of energy. Needs to show that energy and creativity in the Red/White scrimmage or Midnight Madness event. Dunk Contest, Dance off, etc .... make it fun and entertaining.

IMO Campus needs to be upgraded especially at the entrance by Main and University... Looks lifeless and blah... Add a little pizzazz to it or wow factor to let people know its Bradley University.

Trust Central Illinois players: Not saying they have to have a roster full of them but IMO they should have 2-3 players at all time on roster! Tons of talent in Central Illinois.

At a minimum, the maintenance fees should be totally/partially refundable (or credited) to season ticket holders if BU finishes in the bottom half of the MVC, or, fails to win the MVC Tourney (or no NCAA/NIT bids),
                              in any given season.

We are told the maintenance fees are needed to help BU be more competitive, improve the program etc.

If said improvement/competitiveness fails to occur, the maintenance fees are not being used as intended, being misused, or can't help to achieve the desired results, and therefore, should be refunded.

                              Seems fair to me...
