Im sad but not surprised.
Keep starting and playing Wells! Along with TP,WL,Get JS back in too and KDB.
Again Barnes really looked great lol
When a guy sets a post get him the ball and let him go to work.
When you are doubled.....move the ball and shoot the good look!
You have to atleast token press to make them use some clock ....cant play D for 35 secs ?? then try only playing 27 or so.
We are way better with the ball then we showed tonight.

Remember - we got a 2 month head start and played several extra exhibition games...
so after HALF a season - 14 games - plus practicing for FIVE months and playing those numerous exhibitions - we still haven't figured out who should play??
Maybe a fan vote for the starters as well as the starting time of the game?

None of the players acted like they cared other than OG IMO.

Walt has to play point really??¦..he should be able to play it better with his experience. He's not ideal but our only choice. KDB just doesn't handle the ball or pass well enough??¦Post? Same issue??¦Taylor has the most potential but would foul out if he plays more than 20 minutes??¦Blake isn't adding anything, Prosser kind of the same now so Wells has to play some??¦.there is just no easy answer for the post problem

It sounds like he is saying we will need to keep playing a whole bunch of different guys until we can settle on the right starters and rotation.
This team has been practicing since early August, with all the allowable early practices prior to the Bahamas trip. If we haven't discovered the right lineup yet, then maybe that is not the problem? I am not a coach, but I think the problem is we can't shoot, we can't defend, we can't execute simple plays, and we seem clueless on offense and defense. But we have nice kids, and with the help of the walk-ons and deep bench guys, we get a good team GPA we can brag about.
Just heard another long time season ticket holder say if they don't make a change he is done. How many ticket holder are they going to let go before they get the idea that people want to see something on the court that is at least decent basketball. (By the way not trying to stir anything up but at least people came to watch the games 4 years ago)
This game can be summed up in 1 word PATHETIC
PS: I said when so many wanted to make a change to be careful what you ask for because you might not like it as good as you thought you would.

And even if that were true, who's fault is that? Recall that when Jim Les' point guard went down with a season ending injury, he took all the blame for not recruiting an extra All-MVC backup who could step right in and replace an All-MVC point guard. We've had 3 recruiting classes to bring in a point guard, and we were assured that we had our point guard of the future.
But I can't accept that the coach is handcuffed, and has no other options. Coach Ford has publicly told people that the best point guard he has in practice is Darrion Harris. If Charron Woods was good enough to play PG as a walk-on, then why not give Darrion Harris a chance and try something different. Frankly right now, I'd rather see anyone at the point other than Walt. This just isn't working. We recruited Bell and Fields to be the point guards on this team. Are we just accepting that we completely misjudged and blew it? Even Omari Grier couldn't do any worse, and he actually played point guard at his prep school.
Even our post play would suddenly appear lots better if we had a real point guard.

It's not my intention to "rub it in," but it might be UNI's intention to do so with the following article re: tonight's game:
UNI Scores Biggest MVC Win Ever vs. Bradley, 80-46
CEDAR FALLS, Iowa - The University of Northern Iowa men's basketball team scored its largest margin of victory (34 points) in a Missouri Valley Conference game in the Panthers' 80-46 win over the Bradley Braves on Wednesday in the McLeod Center.
My first BU hoops game was on 12/30/1963. My dad took me to watch the Braves defeat Arizona 67-59. He helped me get Coach Orsborn's autograph before the game.

Speaking of rubbing it in....you forgot to post this clip from the UNI article-
UNI's previous largest margin of victory in an MVC game came last season against Bradley when the Panthers notched a 31-point win over the Braves, 84-53
Ouch!

Dave Reynolds: Bradley extends streaks with 80-46 MVC loss at Northern Iowa
Bradley-Northern Iowa report card
Frontcourt: F
Backcourt: F
Bench: F
Overall: F
Despite being nearly halfway through the school year, Bradley student-athletes do not come to basketball class prepared. A rudimentary grasp of offensive, defensive and ballhandling skills is lacking. These student-athletes do not play well with others. They do not follow directions. They struggle with concentration issues and are not good problem solvers. The Bradley student-athletes must show progress soon or major changes in their curriculum will be forthcoming.
Seems like the theme of putting 100% of the blame on the players continues.
