  • This Week's Rankings

The first of the weekly rankings is already out, and others will follow.

CHN has their weekly Top 50, and
Wichita State has climbed to #6 and now levelled off,

Pitt drops to #9 from #4 after losing a road game to the team they have ranked #7,

Kansas climbs a spot despite NOT EVEN PLAYING over the past week.
(This has to be another BCS-only phenomenon!)

Butler seems to get no respect from these guys as they are mired down at #18,

Missouri State keeps winning but doesn't move much and is at #21,

Illinois hasn't beaten anyone from a BCS conference, and still rates a #31,

    SIU drops to #44
    Creighton drops out.

Hot off the press is this week's AP Poll/Top 25

Pitt falls from #2 to #7,
    Wisconsin jumps to #4
    Wichita State stays at #8
Missouri State creeps slightly closer to the Top 25, and is 2nd in "Others Receiving Votes",
SIU drops a little but still receiving votes.

Pollsters are s-t-u-p-i-d. So their polls are s-t-u-p-i-d.

Do they not know Mo St beat Wisky?
      Did they forget?
Or is it they just don't care?

It must be that lone loss (a bad loss, I guess) to undefeated Okla St in overtime.

The Coaches Poll is now out as well, and is almost identical to the AP Top 25.
Very litle difference of significance, except these guys don't seem to penalize SIU so much for one tough road loss at IU.

How are we not on the CHN top 50, yet teams like Winthrop are? Last I checked, almost beating somebody DOESN'T count! And what about Dayton? So, they beat Louisville. Louisville is struggling mightily thus far, and was handed another tough loss to Kentucky on Saturday. Let's face it, despite losing to TTU, and getting mauled by MSU, we are 2-0 versus the big east and 1-0 versus the big 12. Iowa State or Rutgers will not challenge for a league title, but we did what a good team would do- dominate them. Plus, there could be much worse competition.

            Here is some consolation
            In the collegeinsiders.com Mid-Major Top 25,
Bradley is now getting enough votes to be just barely outside the Top 25.
If BU can win a couple this week, they can crack the Top 25.
By the way, 3 of the top 5, 4 of the top 11, and 5 of the top 15 teams are Valley teams.
All 10 Valley teams are getting votes.
