We're trying a new thing- the video stream for the game is imbedded in each page for the convenience of fans.
The game will start a little after 7:30 PM CST. Just check the top of each page.
The video stream just started- you will need to reload your screen and wait through a 30 second advertisement.
And if you would like to read and post on the message board, you may want to open a separate window so you don't have to watch the 30 second ad each time you change windows.
broadcaster notes that Pacific's largest win this year is by 17 - but currently they are up 20
..so I checked - the last time Pacific beat someone by more than 20, their current lead, was over Cal Poly a year ago, 77-55
Nate Wells enters the game
Give Swop credit, he's having a fine game - 4 for 5 from well beyond the arc.
This 2nd half flurry of 3's - four for Swop & one for Barnes - has kept us within 20 - but Pacific is just letting us have free chances from beyond the arc..
they've kinda called off the dogs and letting us have wide open looks. Even so we're just 6-18, not good.
Darion Harris gats a bucket late to keep the margin at 17 pts - 71-55
Box score for the Pacific Tigers vs. Bradley Braves NCAAM game from December 21, 2013 on ESPN. Includes all points, rebounds and steals stats.
I have nothing new to say. See the Portland thread to see my comments. They apply again tonight. Bradley shot 31% tonight, and only because Jordan Swopshire came in late and made 4 of 5 from three.
Again I wonder... didn't anyone notice this team can't shoot? Why haven't we recruited better shooters in the last 3 years. It is such a glaring deficiency for the 3rd year in a row, that opposing teams must salivate at the thought of playing defense against us.
BU loses 71-55
we shoot 31%, they shoot 46%
we shoot 33% from 3-pt, they shoot 43%
We lose the rebounding battle 38-31
Scoring by BU
Walt 2
Tyshon 6
Blake 3
Bell 5
Barnes 10
Grier 15
Harris 2
Swopshire 12
Wells, Zecevic, Taylor, Alwan, Fields all scoreless
Pickett leads us with 9 rebounds
with rare exception, like the Illinois game, we've historically done bad when playing in these resort areas - Hawaii, Las Vegas - too many distractions...
I hope that's actually the case here so that we can reverse and overcome that factor back home...
