What's going to happen next year when Tatum is gone, although that's the same question people asked about BU, so maybe SIU can surprise.
But I don't see anyone on SIU's squad that has scoring ability beyond Tatum.
Indiana is offensively challenged, also, but they at least have a few fine young frosh to help in years to come.
Tatum had six buckets, Shaw had 3, but the two combined for only TWO baskets between them in the 2nd half, as the Salukis had only 6 baskets total in the 2nd half.
In fact from 12 down to 2 min in the 2nd half, SIU went without a FG.
SIU also got a grand total of only ONE basket from their bench.
This is a disaster waiting to happen as UNI found out last year.
(Indiana got 31 points off the bench!)
BTW, Lance Stemler again was 0-for, and he has gone two straight games without a basket despite starting and playing huge minutes. He also had no assists.
