MVC last night (Tues 12/10)

In addition to Bradley's loss last night, there were 2 other games-

Evansville (6-4) played extremely well, and lead at Xavier for nearly the entire game. Xavier finally pulled ahead with 1:08 left, and won the game 63-60-

Northern Iowa (4-5) shot poorly at home against Savannah State, but held on to win 55-50-

The UNI win - the only win the MVC got last night - over woeful Savannah State was a 3-point game in the final seconds - two FT's at the end made it a 5pt margin, but had Tuttle not made them, SSU would have been shooting for OT at UNI.

In the Evansville game - Matt Stainbrook grabbed more rebounds (15) than Evansville's entire frontcourt PLUS their entire bench combined!!!


One other game - Kentucky beat Boise State 70-55 - but Boise State hung within single digits until the final 12 min. then were overpowered..
BUT - The Boise State team can be given some credit for fighting this hard given the circumstances....
on their way to Kentucky - the found themselves stuck in Chicago's O'Hare Airport with their connecting flight to Lexington, KY cancelled.
With very little other options available to them, the quickly boarded a bus and rode the 7-hour bus trip to Lexington - not getting in there 'til after 1AM.
Total time for the trip from Idaho to KY - 20 hours...
