Auston Barnes is just 4-22 but did we recruit him as a 3-point shooter or as a backup to Tyshon Pickett?
A quick look at his past stats show he has hit only 16 3 pointers in the previous THREE seasons combined (2 at CMU and one at Odessa) - so aren't we placing way too much expectations on him to say he is expected to be our best 3-point shooter

It is true that Geno recruited Auston Barnes for depth inside to help replace the loss of Will Egolf last season. However, after Omari Grier went just 4-25, and Stefan Zecevic went 1-11 from three on the Bahamas trip, Geno said Barnes was their best and most reliable perimeter shooter.
As someone else has said, a lot of Geno's recruits do not turn out to be the players we recruited them as.

After all the hype about new players this season and as bad as are playing, in this morning's PJS Geno is quoted as saying Barnes and Grier are playing better than he thought they would have played. Can't figure that one out.

Maybe. But from what I am hearing, it is not those 2 who he is most disappointed with. Though it's hard to figure why we did not recruit better shooters in his first 3 recruiting classes, I believe we will see more recruits (shooters) signed before the end of the spring signing period.

Most of his prime recruits are in the first ten games of their BU career. I'm not saying the staff is the cat's pajamas, just saying I'm not ready to flush em down the crapper just yet. My question remains, when was the last time you felt the program was a solid contender?

IPFW just lost their Athletic Director - who left to take the position at WIU and become Jim Molinari's boss...
they are now hiring and have narrowed their search to 86 candidates!!
The head basketball coach Tony Jasick is on the search committee..

of the 86 candidates, only one name has been made public, Kelly Hartley Hutton - who is currently the women's volleyball coach ".. indicated she would be a candidate for the permanent AD position."

2007-2008 team was 21-17 and 9-9 in conference play solidly very average after sweet sixteen run
O'Bryant left and he was the reason we went on the run (recruited by coach B)
The rest was average or below average
