Retty good show....started out with interview with Boogie and his role with the Globetrotters! Then went to the coach's clinic on shooting with JC......and finished with history on the Fieldhouse in it's last season and some computer pics on the new buildings replacing it! Also did not know that the size of the rim is big enough for 2 bballs side by side?
The circumference of the mens basketball is 30 inches, so if you do the math, divide 30 inches by pi=3.14, you see the diameter of the ball is almost precisely 9.5 inches.
The inside diameter of the official rim is 18 inches.
So if the balls are offset just slightly with one passing slightly ahead of the other,
or underinflated they will pass through, but if official balls are passed exactly at the same time they wiill hang up and NOT pass.
