Coming Soon To BF.com - 2013/14 MVC Regular Season Game Pick Em Contest!
With the upcoming start to the 2013-14 MVC MBB Regular Season, the 2013-14 MVC Regular Season Game Pick Em Contest is also gearing up to have its biggest and best season yet.
For those who have not participated before in the MVC Regular Season Game Pick Em Contest right here on BF.com, you will have a chance to join 30-40 other rabid BU/MVC MBB fans in the contest:
Several days before each game (1-16) of the MVC Regular Season, I post a listing of the 5 MVC games being played, day they will play, time they will play and location of the games.
Participants will have until 2-3 hours before tip off, to reply to my post here on BF.com with their selections of who will win each of the 5 MVC contests for that week. After the last game is completed, I post the results and the standings.
There are several contests:
1. Most correct picks in the FH of the MVC Season
2. Most correct picks in the LH of the MVC Season
3. Most correct picks overall in the MVC Season, including the MVC Tournament games*
4. Most games (1-16) at the top of the leaderboard
5. Most games (1-16) with 5-5 correct picks
*New this season
Along the way, there will be commentary on the upcoming games, and, post game results.
Winners/leaders s get nothing but the fame/recognition that comes with being the winner of the BF.com 2013-14 MVC Regular Season Game Pick Em Contest. Talking trash in your posts is always encouraged!
This is not for the casual fan, or the forgetful fan.... The turnaround in between the last games on Sunday, and, the first games the following week (typically Tuesdays) is quite short. Participants need to be ready to submit their picks at the start of each week, or, they will get the dreaded 0/5
results for that week's games.
The last couple seasons, 70-75 correct game picks out of the 90 games played gets you close to the top of the leader board.
One last feature of the MVC Regular Season Game Pick Em Contest is you will also compete against the alter ego of AZ BU Fan (since I do not participate). My alter ego is THE PENNY, who picks game winners by me flipping a penny - heads, The Penny picks the home team to win; tails, The Penny picks the visiting team to win.
Don't get beat by THE PENNY!!!!
