  • BU apparently doesnt want families at RenCon

Tried to buy tickets online, $23.50 apiece for 6 of us is $144 to watch IUPUI. BU game notes say tix are available for $20 apiece, $120 for our family. Are you freaking kidding me? I see there is a 4 pack for $50, but still have to buy 2 more at $20 (minumum) for a $90 price tag. The kicker is no more parking on the streets around the stadium. How can tix at Carver be $8 apiece and twice as much at RenCon? We can all get in at Carver for $48. No TV to boot either. Are we going to see any BU games on TV this year? This administration is a complete joke and has their heads buried in the sand. So much for the next generation of Bradley basketball fans.

there are some discount ticket packages but I currently don't have time to look them up - did you try calling the ticket office?

One of the well publicized packages is their "Coliseum Four Pack"
$50 gets you four tickets, four hot dogs, and four drinks...
..so that means you're really paying only about $10 a ticket

I can appreciate your concern, but the reason why tickets at Ren Col can be twice as much as at Carver Arena is simple. You'll likely be more than twice as close to the action as you would be with an $8 ticket at the Civic Center. I wonder if you called the ticket office if they'd consider extending the 4 pack to 6 pack for $75. It might be worth a shot.

We've been through this before. It doesn't matter if people are closer to the floor if it's more than they can pay to attend the game. Those 4 packs don't help either unless there are FOUR in your group attending. Don't tell me either that you can split the four packs with other people. Nobody wants to mess with that even if they happen to know other Bradley fans which are getting harder and harder to find.

The $3.50 service charge for each ticket is also a killer. It should be maybe $3.50 for the entire order, but by the time someone orders 6 tickets, the extra service charge is over $20. It is definitely worth it to buy at the ticket office and save this service charge.
BTW, I notice the Ticketmaster service charge on tickets for the games at Carver Arena can be as much as $6 per ticket or more. Ridiculous.

Welcome to the "new" Bradley University way of doing things. Compliments of you know who and you know who. Doubt if DR or KW are going to touch this subject.

The guy I feel sorry for is Geno. Regardless of what he makes he deserves better than working in an environment that is trying to run fans away instead of putting them is the seats.

Hey - we are on a roll - we've played a couple good games in a row according to the coverage so let's keep it up

I like to look at the bright side too but after awhile it's not enough.

I agree with this, my money says Geno had no idea what he was walking into... I think fans are getting a raw job too, but they can do more about it than Geno can, even if it is minimal

I agree with you 100% regarding the cost of the tickets. I have 3 friends heading over to Macomb tomorrow night to watch Mo's Leathernecks . I told them I would try to sell my tickets but had no luck. No one wanted to pay $20 for them to see IUPU so my wife and I will see our Braves. These tickets are endzone seats but I'll bet we can sit somewhere in the middle section. Now just hope I can get aisle seats.LOL

BU Freak (and any others with similar concerns):

When purchasing the Coliseum 4-Pack, the additional 2 tickets would be $15 each for a total price of $80 for a family of 6, all of whom would receive a ticket, a hot dog and a drink for an average of $13.33 each for dinner and seats in the "lower bowl" for a NCAA Division I men's basketball game. Though the package is not available for purchase online through TicketMaster, I am sure the ticket office would process your request with a phone call and have the tickets for you at Will Call Wednesday night. And if for some reason, the facts as laid out above are not the case, call or email me and I will make sure it is so. All our phone numbers and email addresses are available online at BradleyBraves.com in the staff directory.

We are not the evil empire, at least we do not intend to be. A simple and polite phone call or email usually will get you the answers you seek.

Hope you are still able to make the game Wednesday night with your family!

I guess this is not needed because Bobby beat me

FWIW, extra tickets for the Family 4 pack are only $15 (and include the soda and hot dog) not $20

Coliseum Four Packs (On Sale Monday, Oct. 14): Available while supplies last only for the three games at Renaissance Coliseum - Oct. 28 exhibition versus Upper Iowa, Nov. 10 against Alabama State or Dec. 4 versus IUPUI. Each $50 package will include four tickets for baseline seating to one of the three games, four hot dogs and four drinks. Additional ticket and concessions packages may be purchased for $15 each.
