    Be realistic...come on guys

Coach Brooks kept his scholarships to bring in his players. That is why there are 11 on the roster. He has 5 freshman and 2 transfers coming in. He has only had 1 recruiting year up to this point. I mean the guy can't work miracles in one year. And do you see the talent he was left. I can't even believe they are in games. Jenny Smith has a concussion. Audrey Lawson has a sprained ankle and sprained knee. Taylor Shull, I hear, is being disciplined for missing class....So we get mad that the coaches hold them accountable now too. I am shocked at Brave nation. I know everyone wants results now, but be realistic to these guys. They both took over in tough spots. Les is hard to replace and the Carver arena sucks. Try taking recruits down there and selling it. Bad locker room. I hate to go underneath to get the drinks I pay for . Dirty and disgusting. As for the Women, at least he didn't recruit a couple bums and run them off after a year like Shyok and Crawford.

It's always been public before. Why not now?

Don't stop this thread till i get my 2 pennys in....

I was trying to find my old post about how I thought this season would go....

But it was something like....like the players....lots of new players....bumps in the road early...if they come together(they haven't yet) this will be a pretty good team and fun to watch...

did not go last night...saw video...wonder if we were not thinking to highly of ourselves

we do not need to know what happened with Pross or Barnes, and the reason other violations were so public was they were...well ..so public...Pross and Barnes were school related things...

ok two cents worth is done...

Dave Snell did mention after the game that one of the players was sick and that's why he only played a couple minutes. Never caught who it was. Does anyone know?
What part of illegal don't you understand?

It could quite possibly be one of Bradley's worst in decades and this is Geno's 3rd season. Most of these players are his and the team is taking nose dives each season at his realm.

Jason we know you don't care much for Geno and that's fine with me if you don't but that's JUST PLAIN CRAZY. You need to get another agenda because that's not going to happen this year or next. After his 5 years who knows????

Why nothing about the women players?

And for the record, I also know about all these issues, but wonder why it is kept secretive, when intimate details of issues regarding Will, Ruffin, Theron Wilson, Tyrone Cole-Scott, and others were blasted all over the front pages of the newspaper in the past?
Could it be because they were police matters and Barnes and the womens players were not?

Carver arena doesn't suck. It's one of the better arena's in the MVC and I've been in many others and Carver would rate up there with many of them. As for selling it, I would think it would be a better selling point than taking them to a game at the new gym on campus. Might be great for the women's home court, but not for a Div 1 men's program. I have been to most parts of Carver and have not seen the conditions you bring up. And we don't call our recruits "bums"when they play for the Braves.

This is all water over the dam, so I am not trying to drag this out again. But when Theron Wilson and Tyrone Cole-Scott were disciplined in the ISU game in Jan. 2008, and Theron was benched at the start and came off the bench to score 20 and lead BU to a 1 point win over ISU, immediately the PJ Star writers demanded to know what the discipline was for. Nobody even knew about the police report for another day or two. They kept digging until the details came out, then demanded stricter punishment, despite the fact the AD and coach followed the disciplinary protocol in place at that time. The hysteria by the press prompted the administration to add the extra disciplinary action (they were both suspended one additional game- which Bradley won at Wichita State). Just saying that is quite a difference from the way the media reacted to these recent disciplinary issues- nobody seems to even want to know about them. No questions raised about any of the suspensions in the last couple years, and there have been many. They seem to go out of their way to protect the facts from coming out. In fact, the Barnes benching at the start of last night's game still has never been called disciplinary, and nobody in the media has even asked a question about it. You don't find that odd?

                        • Geno said on radio that he missed practice for schoolwork and won't start since he missed practice but will still play starter minutes.

I did not hear the radio show. And I just did a search in both Dave Reynolds' article, and Kirk Wessler's column, and Barnes' name is never even mentioned (except in the Report Card at the end). I am not accusing the team of hiding anything, just pointing out a slight disparity in the way the media reports and reacts.

I heard this too. It kind of bothered me, I mean a player can not practice for academic reasons and still play? I don't know if I like the message that sends. Also shows he was not properly prepared for this game.

I have a feelling he may have been hiding something but I don't think it's probably anything to be worried about.
