  • Interesting strategy by Brooklyn Nets coach Jason Kidd

In last night's game between the Brooklyn Nets and Los Angeles Lakers, Nets Head Coach Jason Kidd invented a new way to get an extra timeout. He wanted to stop the clock with 8 seconds left to 'ice" a Lakers free throw shooter with the Nets down 96-94. But he was out of time outs. So he stepped onto the court and told his point guard to "hit me", and the intentional bump caused Kidd to "accidentally" spill his drink onto the court. The game had to be stopped for a couple minutes to clean up the ice and beverage, and Kidd got the timeout he wanted.
Say this for Jason Kidd's head coaching career: it hasn't been lacking in comedy. With just a few minutes to go in the Brooklyn Nets' 99-94 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers, Kidd spilled his Coca-Cola on the court, causing a brief delay in the action. As The Brooklyn Gam

Interesting, now that he has let that out of the bag, hope he doesn't do it again. 1st time smart play,2nd time shame on him. He won't like what would probably happen the 2nd time.
I'd bet he'd get T'd up for delay of game.

The NBA fines him $50,000 for his stunt - doubt he'll do it too many times for that money
The NBA doesn't think Nets coach Jason Kidd's sneaky tactics on Wednesday night were as funny as we all did, as the league has fined Kidd $50,000 for his gamesmanship, according to a report by Yahoo's Adrian Wojnarowski. Here's what happened: At the end of the…
