Late games...all losses, so MVC goes 0-3 on Wednesday - and drop to 36-23 overall , 28-23 against DI

Vermont was just 1-5 going into the game and ISU held a big lead (18 pts) but let it slip away,
Final score Vermont 87 - ISU 76 - ISU was outscored 56-33 in 2nd half, and drop to 1-4
Zaxh Lofton led ISU with 19 off the bench

Tulsa 63 - Indiana State 62 - close all the way & Tulsa nails a 3-pointer with 8 sec left to win

Indiana State's loss was to a previously winless Tulsa team (losses to 3 MVC teams & Oral Roberts).

        Disappointing day for The Valley.

I watched much of that game late last night and Tulsa has a lot of very good athletes and good size, and they looked pretty good. Danny Manning has recruited a team filled with similar athletic and physical kids. It's hard to believe they won't be a contender in the CUSA. But, they have 1 problem we have- they do not have anyone who can seem to make the three reliably, and that will cost them some games.

ISU now plays DII Sonoma State on Friday - should pick up a win

In the SIU loss Barry Hinson picked up his 3rd technical in the past three games - an unprecedented pace for the otherwise soft-spoken Hinson

Creighton plays Arizona St and 10 tonight on ESPN2. Should be a good test for both teams.
What part of illegal don't you understand?

any ISU fans add a thought on Kaza Keane? He was an important part of the team last year but thus far his playing time and production are down...

he was a part time starter last year but not starting this year - he's 8th in mpg, but 10th in scoring & rebounding (about 2 pts/1 reb per game) - although his turnovers are just one from being the team leader..

He has to be a little bummed about so little PT - and with everyone returning next year, not a lot of prospects to pick up anyone else's playing time.

Creighton 88 - Arizona State 60 - this game was lopsided, Bluejays up 9 before the first 4-min timeout, then up 15 before the 12-min timeout.
The lead grew to 20, then 30 -- pretty amazing how easy Creighton handled them.

Iowa played well & beat Matt Stainbrook & Xavier...
Devyn Roy Marble with 30 pts - I recall when Iowa landed him, there were people saying he was not a Big Ten talent, was only 2-Stars, & that he was another of Lickliter's mid-major caliber kids...

Wow, a 28 point beatdown of Arizona State by Creighton.
Expert recap and game analysis of the Creighton Bluejays vs. Arizona State Sun Devils NCAAM game from November 28, 2013 on ESPN.

I know Creighton is good, but maybe we overrated Arizona State just a little?
From the PJ Star article after Bradley's loss to Arizona State, and some fans' celebrating that we stayed within 12 points of them, it made it seem we were playing a Top 10 team or a Final Four contender.
It seems Creighton burst that bubble last night.
