ISU coach Dan Muller announced that junior Michael Middlebrooks has been suspended indefinitely for "conduct detrimental to the team". He did not make their trip to San Francisco for the Golden Gate Challenge. He was averaging 5.5 ppg and a team-leading and MVC-leading 9.8 rpg. ISU opens the 3 game tourney Wednesday against Vermont.

Same terminology, "violation of team rules", as when Daishon Knight was arrested for a felony...
but Knight .. was allowed to participate in all team activities despite his "suspension" and was reinstated before even missing a single minute of any real game...
So Middlebrook must have done something really bad to actually miss time in a real game... -
Coach Dan Muller announced today that top recruit Michael Middlebrooks's suspension was based on academic issues, and that he will be ineligible for the entire 2nd semester. a few years back when a 6-9 kid from Annawan wanted to walk on apparently Jank told him no...but he went to ISU anyway - may still be there...
since he has never used any eligibility - he might still be available!Comment
