  • Missouri State loses 2 key players in Sunday's game

Missouri State beat Hampton 81-67 yesterday (Sun, Nov 24)-
Expert recap and game analysis of the Missouri State Bears vs. Hampton Pirates NCAAM game from November 24, 2013 on ESPN.

But they lost 2 key players to injury yesterday- senior Keith Pickens, their 4th leading scorer and top rebounder prior to yesterday, left the game early in the first half with an injury to his right knee. Then just 2 minutes later, their 2nd leading scorer Marcus Marshall, last year's MVC Freshman of the Year, injured his left knee and did not return.
    Both are getting MRIs today.

Guess news could have been a lot worse.
Glad for Bears that they pulled out a hard-fought win vs. Liberty last night.
Can't be easy to find a new strategy after losing arguably your 2 mvps on the team...seemed like an offensive struggle all night.

If those 2 guys come back in a month and shake off the rust, I still see MSU competing for a top 3 spot in the league.
