We no doubt would be considered a cupcake for many teams, but at least they would know Bradley has a storied past. But UIPUI?

I graduated from Bradley in May, and though in my four years on campus I experienced losing seasons, I don't remember ever being embarrassed after a loss as bad as I was last night. There was no excuse for losing to IUPUI. It's a team we should've coasted by, but I think that's what our players thought. They didn't look ready to play (except for Nate Wells, who didn't even get in. He looked pumped before the game). I expect more out of this team then what I saw last night.
However, I'm not as negative as most people are. While I'm upset, disappointed, and embarrassed by the loss, I still think this is the most talented team we've had since Geno arrived. I really like Grier, Barnes, and Taylor. This is also the deepest team we've had, as well, but it's not depth like Wichita State has. Like last year, I feel like we only have 4 real starters (Walt, Barnes, Grier, and Pickett), with our 5th starter being more of a role player, whoever that may be. But those who say we aren't deep have a different definition of deep than I do. We have at least 10 players who I would consider role players or better. Sure, we don't have stars at the end of our bench, but very few teams do. I still think we'll be in the top half of the valley, possibility even top 3, provided we actually come to play each night.

Also, if you think we are, what evidence do you have as to why that's the case? Does the program's success in the 1950's entitle you to a national contender? Bradley basketball hasn't been a national powerhouse since the 50's with some good years mixed in from then to now. Quit pissing and moaning about every little thing and let things develop. We have a lot of potential on this team that I and a lot of people believe in. If you can honestly say that you think this program has stagnated completely and isn't and won't improve, then I don't know what to tell you. That's just being ignorant. What part of illegal don't you understand?

While you can judge by samples, the size of the sample has to be large enough. We shouldn't lose to IUPUI, especially at home, however, the game is played on the court. We didn't do anything well, and it showed. You can't make entire regime conclusions based on one game though. Last night was bad, but the program is still improving. Nobody gets to the top without hard work and a few setbacks along the road. What part of illegal don't you understand?

Let's take a look at the program. At this time 2 of your 3 freshman barely play. The 3rd looks like he's already hit the proverbially wall. Your transfers are really struggling shooting. One sophomore doesn't play, the other has regressed. These are all of Geno's recruits. We've played enough games and these guys have practiced enough together that inexperience should no longer be an issue. I don't know what Geno has to do to get these guys going but he's running out of time. Mo Valley starts January 1, 2014. Need to start seeing something positive happen or look for even fewer fans attending games. I know Madame President is extremely loyal to her people but even she has to see and hear what's going on with the program and right now it's not good. If we're not playing on Thursday night in St. Louis than I'll say we've made progress and I'll be happily cheering them on at the Scottrade Center. I want to believe in this team but they are making it tough right now.
