    Final:
    Bradley 58
    AZ State 70

It could have been worse. Walt (20 points, 5 rebounds), and Tyshon (23 points, 5 rebounds) were about the only 2 that showed up. We need more contribution from the other starters and bench players.

Let's hope everyone came out of this game healthy.

Walt (when he's not in foul trouble) and Tyshon are positives..
we didn't turn the ball over much, and we shot well from inside the arc..
a few things, including FT shooting must improve..

BTW - whatever happened to the forecast some time ago that we would slide Walt over to the 2-guard and someone else would become the primary ballhandler - allowing Walt to come off screens moving without the ball and cut down on his fouls...
That came from several sources including GF.. but it has never happened.

Having said my funny for the night I thought our effort was 100% better tonight than it was against the Illini. Definately a concern that only Walt and Tyshon were our only double figure scorers for the 2nd straight game. Keep doing that and the losses will keep coming. Have the next month to see what if anything we have when it comes to getting anything from the bench. Hopefully Prosser comes back focused and ready to contribute. Games against Pacific and Portland on a neutral court will be the next harbinger of where we're at as a team.

I think the poor free throw shooting was an aberration. The team shot 76% in the first 5 games.

Luckily, Bradley is done playing teams from the Big Ten and Pac 12. I think you'll see Barnes and Grier back scoring in double digits soon.

Bradley did keep the score closer than the point spread, but there wasn't really a time in the second half where I felt we were back in the game with a chance to catch up. We just need to see more contributions from a few others.

I wasn't able to get to the game tonight as the weather is pretty bad here, and, I'm 40 miles away from ASU.

Just looking at the stats and play by play on ESPN.com, BU missed a lot of layups - or - there were a lot of blocked shots.

I counted at least 10 plays in the play by play where ESPN reported a missed layup by BU. Seemed BU was penetrating, but not finishing. Good that they didn't settle for jump shots or 3's they struggle to make, but they need to convert when in the paint. Pross back will help some, but, will probably have to wait till next year for more help in the paint (ASU Jordan B looked like he beat up the Braves tonight).

BU rebounded reasonably well, and didn't have a lot of turnovers, but, following the play by play description they seemed to come when BU had a chance to make a small run, or, after an ASU turnover.

BU FT shooting was real bad tonight and didn't help.

BU got beat cause ASU made 5 more 3's (5 pts) and 7 more FT's than BU.

Most other stats between the two teams identical...

Continue to play as a team, continue to try and develop bench, continue to play all out on defense, and RECRUIT, RECRUIT, RECRUIT!

Hopefully games like the past two Big Ten and Pac Ten will pay off with RPI of BU and the Valley by the end of the year. Hopefully will also help BU to convince talented players
they can get a chance to play vs the BCS Schools if they sign on to BU!

I didn't see the game, So Bradley was down by 15 at the half, did Bradley actually play better in the 2nd half or was AZ State going easy and playing mostly bench players the 2nd half? AKA would they have easily blown us out by 20-30 points?

FWIW, ASU's starters actually played more minutes than Bradley's starters, and the Braves went 12 deep.

If Bradley shoots their season avg. from the FT line, it's possibly a closer game.

Here's the game article....fairly positive considering we did not play well IMO

but one error that's been repeated - the Globetrotter Curley "Boo" Johnson did not go to Bradley

I want you to think about that statement for a minute
