Loyola lost to Tennessee Tech - a four-minute stretch late in the game killed them....
the Ramblers had built a 10 pt lead with 14 minutes to go, then committed four consecutive turnovers and missed a few shots, and FOUR minutes later the game was tied.
They still had plenty of chance to win - and were tied or within a point for most of the final 7 minutes, but....
they went terribly cold and made only one basket the final 6:57.
SIU vs. Mizzou was on Comcast last night - and everyone is gonna need a scorecard this year - they have a bunch of new players like Bradley, ISU, & Drake...
but they were pesky and hung close for more than half the game...
Mizzou went with starters pretty much the whole way - two of their guys played the full 40 minutes.
A couple other really surprising scores from last night...
Indiana needed a major 2nd half rally to edge LIU-Brooklyn 73-72. LIU led almost the entire game, then in the final 3 minutes both teams went cold, but LIU went colder and Indiana wins by one. IU really has depth problems - only one player scored (Robinson, 5 pts) off the bench, and a couple of their Top 40 studs had 0-for stat lines.
Michigan wins in a 35 pt blowout with their starting post guy out with injury, and Max plays just 4 min -
TCU loses at home to Longwood.
