Hill College wins 70-67 over Ranger College - Tramique Sutherland misses his 2nd straight game with undisclosed injury (not good news, given Donte Thomas out for the season)

Macari Brooks had an exceptional game against Lamar State, going for 37 pts (12-19), 4 rebs, 3 steals

BTW - Lamar State has an unsigned big man who averages 11 ppg, 8 rpg, and 61% shooting.
7-1 Anthony Allen also led the nation in BLOCKED SHOTS last year!
I say go hard after him and make him some offers he can't refuse...

Macari Brooks has had a couple off-games but Tramique definitely is staying hot...

last week Hill beat Weatherford and Tramique flirted with a triple double again...
          20 pts, 9 rebs, 11 assists, 3 steals (only 1 turnover)

Then over the weekend against SWCC - Hill lost but Tramique had arguably the best game he's had all year....
          31 points (on 10-17), 10 rebounds, 10 assists, 5 steals, 2 TO
He's still shooting over 50% form the field and nearly 50% from the arc - averaging 20 pts, 7.2 rpg, 8.3 apg

Among all juco players nationally (NJCAA) he ranks...
#38 in scoring, Top 100 in rebounding, Top 20 in 3pt FG%, #2 in Assists/gm, #1 nationally in total assists, #7 in Assist to Turnover Ratio, #3 in Steals, #2 in Total Steals
          ....looks promising..........

            point guard

This is why we will be happy with our point guard next year! He will coming to us with those stats! You know that there will be a drop off coming to D1. Will you take those stats at 70 percent of what they are now on this team? Heck yes! Let's hope he can come and put up these numbers with a little bit of a drop off..

Tramique had an off nite and hit only 3 of his 15 shot attempts - but he got things done other ways to help his team .... as he drove and got fouled & got to the line a bunch making 11-13 and getting the other guys in foul trouble, so he scored 17 pts and also grabbed 8 rebounds and dished out 9 assists & had four steals!

                recruit

Sounds like a solid all around team player. Just what we need a point guard to do that night in night out. I can't wait to see him in person.
