Here is a unique and cool promotion- John Brown University, a NAIA school in Arkansas, starts their first home game every year by promoting their fans to throw a roll of toilet paper into the air and onto the court. It costs the home team a technical foul every year, but it is really a cool moment-

I believe BU students threw toilet paper on the court to celebrate something Willie Scott did. I remember hearing Snell on the radio say he thought it was because the toilet paper was "Scott" brand paper.

I had forgotton that, and my memory of it is not real good. It seems there were only a few students from the endzone student section that threw the toilet paper when Scott was introduced. And I don't recall that it continued all year, but may have happened only a couple times until the administration asked them to stop.

Here is a promotion I'd go for- Kansas State is offering free bacon (5 slices!) to fans who attend their women's basketball game this Friday!

Hope it works - but the time-trusted method of getting fans there is to put a quality product on the floor in a manner that appeals to the fans.

The free bacon promotion by the Kansas State women's basketball team was a huge success. They clobbered Tennessee State 85-53. The attendance was 3,284. They cooked up over 300 pounds of free bacon.

Here is another good idea for a promotion. I'd like to see Bradley do this.

The Chicago White Sox are sponsoring Illini Night this coming Friday night at US Cellular Field in Chicago. Special commemorative University of Illinois White Sox hats will be given away-

That would look really cool in Bradley colors and with the BU logo!


The St. Louis Cardinals already had a similar Illini Night promotion back on May 30, with a hat giveaway-
