Another brilliant move by the BU athletic department. We have a family of 6 and they expect me to pay $120 to see a freaking EXHIBITION game. Stupid. What is the expalanation for this? Not happy
You can actually get 4 tickets for $50 including hot dogs and drinks.
And FWIW, Illinois charges full price for their exhibition games too. My tickets for the game against Northwood this Sunday are $42 a piece in Section B.

I think its $80 for a family of 6, ($15 for additional tickets on the family pack) but that does include 6 drinks and 6 hotdogs.
I have no problem with the capitalist system. But it does seem every year the program becomes more focused on money and less focused on providing. That's fine, but expect your fans to become more focused on saving money and less interested in giving. If the fans are treated solely as dollar signs, expect resistance. Maybe it is unavoidable, and maybe they are making the tough decisions they need to make. It's unfortunate if that is the case, because I don't believe I've ever seen the people this frustrated with non-basketball issues before.
$80 for all six to get in and get a dog and drink is not a bad deal at all. A movie for your family with 6 dogs and six drinks would cost you double that. We want a major progran that can compete, like it or not money is part of it.

I believe Illinois plays all their games, including exhibitions, in the same arena, and the exhibition games are all included in everyone's season ticket prices, so none of the regular season ticket holders pay extra for their tickets. That is where I think Bradley may have made a better decision. But since the Ren Col doesn't hold enough people to guarantee all season ticket holders a seat, this is the solution they came up with. Maybe if attendance remains low at these Ren Col events, we'll see an eventual change.
For buyers of individual Illinois game tickets, they do discount the tickets to the exhibition games, though they are still not cheap.
I think $80 for a family of six to go to a game is reasonable with or without the dog and drink. I know its up to each person to decide what value there is or not and make a choice and what I think is reasonable may be to much for others.
The ticket restructuring will result in some notable changes that people will see.
Many of the long time good fans who have been familiar at every game going back decades will be gone.
The squeeze for more money has caused a lot of them to give up their tickets or buy fewer or lesser tickets.
Plus there will empty seats in the lower bowl, and total crowds of under 5000.
But some will be too busy counting their money to notice.
It is still an exhibition...it will work itself out, when less folks come out or the young families don't show...
family of 6:
2 adults at 10 a piece
4 kids at 5 a piece
40.00
hot dog and drink = buck... and you have a night
The problem with this mrcoachdude,is that it makes good sense. Twenty dollars is way to much for an exhibition game if you have a big family. It will be interesting to see how many people will be there tonight. I will not be counting them but I will be interested in the numbers. I will go on record saying this administration better wake up before it's to late.

It's an exhibition game...I would pay $10 max to see it and I LOVE BU hoops!!!
I pay $12 to see the ISU-BU rivalry in the upper deck at midcourt.
Compare that to $15 at best for a meaningless exhibition game??
