    despite massive cheating, money flying everywhere, vast impermissible benefits, flagrant rules violations, and even
    lack of "institutional control" - the worst violations that basically those in charge at Miami didn't do a thing to control

    despite all that and the inept and botched investigation - I am struck by the NCAA handing down ridiculously soft penalties as expected - nothing that hurts much, no real financial penalties, no TV ban - no additional post-season or in-season bans....and the only thing in addition to what was self imposed are minor scholarship reductions and a couple coaches have to sit out some games...

    Basically just probation and a few slaps to individual coaches who cheated like there was no tomorrow...
    Frank Haith sits out 5 games - a couple other coaches get "show cause" but one is already working and NCAA has already accepted his "cause shown" and he can keep working...

    predictable - USC people complaining because Miami's penalties were soft...
