  • Pictures of the new mascot

Here are a couple pictures of an inflatable version of the new mascot that was erected in the foyer of the Renaissance Coliseum during the scrimmage tonight.
I suspect there will be different versions. This one looks more cartoonish, and there may be others with a fiercer look-
It appears to be almost 20 feet high-

The most curious thing to me in seeing that is this statement from the PJstar article.

Although Webster defines a gargoyle as ???a strange or ugly human or animal figure that sticks out from the roof of a building to throw rainwater clear,??? Cross envisions the Bradley mascot??™s demeanor as determined and approachable. It would boast wings, but project a more human than animal appearance.

That thing looks almost doggish with wings. nothing near projecting a human appearance.

This might be the reason- The Gargoyle inflated in the BU foyer last night is probably not the one that Bradley will design. They likely did not have time yet to order one custom made to their renderings.
The Gargoyle we saw last night was probably just ordered, and is a production model that anyone can buy for their front yard--
This is the inflatable 15' gargoyle that towers over visitors at a Halloween yard display
