I have long said the best deal for the fans would be having the men's event as a stand alone event the way it always was for decades until recently...
but if the men are going to have their Red-White the same night as the women - how about these options...
#1 - start way earlier - maybe 5:30 or 6pm, have dollar hot dogs or pizza..get the crowd there early so the men's Red-White can tip off by 7am.
#2 - maybe switch it up every other year and have the men go first and the women go after the men - isn't that fair??
I know 90% of the crowd will get up and leave well before the event is over so that's why they always do the women first - but then the empty stands by the end of the men's game at 10:30PM is saying the same thing.
