Since the NCAA changed the dates that teams could start practicing, we did not see a specific "Midnight Madness" date where many teams celebrated the start of the basketball season. Instead, schools had less celebrated events scattered around the calendar.
But here is the most interesting one I've seen so far- University of Cincinnati is having a Midday Madness today at noon (Eastern time) in downtown Cincinnati at the site of the city's most famous structure, Fountain Square-
