There were some Wichita State fans who believed their coaches' connections to the Florida jucos would land Stephen Hurt, the top juco big man in the country. But tonight Hurt spurned the Shockers and committed to Bruce Weber and Kansas State.

I really think this kid had a power conference in his sights the whole time and is the reason he bolted from Lipscomb. Without Forbes on staff I doubt he gives WSU or any non power-conference team the time of day.
When he said Indiana was too up-tempo for his liking (and their's, apparently), I wondered if WSU would be a good fit. Oh, well. Now he gets to be coached by Weber and Lowery for two years. I hope he has fun with that.
