Nice - not flimsy newsprint like before - good thorough magazine and I like it for a couple reasons that will be evident...

First - they think Creighton will struggle in the Big East and finish 5th out of 10 teams

In the MVC they predict the finish like this
1 - Wichita State (predicted as a lock for NCAA)
2 - Northern Iowa (Bubble team)
3 - Indiana State (Bubble team)
4 - BRADLEY - they obviously like Walt but give little note of our "6 new players" - maybe they didn't remember the transfers from last year.
5 - Loyola
6 - Evansville
7 - Missouri State
8 - SIU
9 - Drake
10-ILLINOIS STATE - they think the absence of any returning starters and no seniors will hurt them a lot

POY- Cleanthony Early
1st Team All MVC - Early, Walt Lemon, Seth Van Deest, Seth Tuttle, Jake Odum
2nd Team - MSU's Marcus Marshall, Mockevicius, Tyshon Pickett, Manny Arop, Deon Mitchell
(kinda surprised no mention of SIU's Desmar Jackson)

Newcomer of the Year - Wichita's Shaquillle Morris

I do not believe ISU will finish 10th, or even close. Drake looks to me like the 10th place team. And I don't see more than 1 Seth on the 1st team All MVC team, Seth Tuttle.

I'll stick with my prediction of:
Player of the Year- Cleanthony Early

All MVC 1st team- Cleanthony Early (WSU), Walt Lemon (BU), Jake Odum (InSU), Desmar Jackson (SIU), and Seth Tuttle (UNI).

2nd team- Manny Arop (InSU), Christian Thomas (Loyola), Tyshon Pickett (BU ), Ron Baker (WSU), Nick Wiggins (WSU)

Freshman of the year- Milton Doyle (Loyola), or Shaquille Morris (WSU)

I think if anyone from WSU gets newcomer of the year it will be Darius Carter. It's strange, but he has been overlooked or omitted from just about every off-season preview piece on WSU.
