  • Not your average ISU recruit??

I was reading an article on sportsillustrated.com and found a brief tid bit one Michael Jordan's son Jeffery Jordan. From what i have read Jeffery has an all-around game with a good mid-range jump shot and performs very well in traffic. He is a 6'2" combo guard.

Jeffery has four scholarship offers from Loyola, Davidson, Illinois State and UIC. It appears if you had to name a front runner it would probably be Loyola. (Jeffery plays his high school ball for Wilmette Loyola.)

My question is are there enough positives to want you to bring Jeffery to Bradley?

Or is it not worth the risk of pretty much wasting a scholarship??

Jeez, I'd think he'd be worth recruiting just for some of the marketing/recruiting type benefits you could reep... Plus his pedigree is certainly good. If he's a good kid and a decent player I'd say he'd be worth it for 08 (not sure what kind of (if any) commitments we've gotten).

I was involved in a lengthy discussion on the 'other' board regarding this, and I think ISU can do better. But hey, if they want to bank on guards the caliber of Jeffrey Jordan, they can continue to finish last. Jeff Jordan is a great kid, and a nice HS player. Schools like Loyola, Davidson, and UIC would be great fits.

From what I hear the younger Jordan, the Sophmore, can't think of his name, Marcus maybe, is the better of the two.

Marcus is the younger of the 2 brothers, and is just a sophomore. He is already slightly taller than Jeffrey, who is a senior, and is rated as a better college prospect.
