Do college basketball officials favor one team over another?

whether true or not - the mere fact that the perception is so widespread needs to be addressed and a sense of fairness needs to be restored
...anyone who says the refs are always fair, always professional & unbiased, is simply lacking in understanding of common human nature..

I agree but single incidents (to be fair, we can always grant a mulligan) don't bother me as much as broad patterns....
and there have been a few refs doing MVC from Zettcher, to Yakashima, to Gerry Pollard who have consistently and at times blatantly shown unobjective bias.
To be fair - I believe the really bad eggs are few and far between - but once in a while a hidden mike or some other evidence exposes them and their unethical behavior.

Yeah coaches are for one team as are their fans. I can surely see why they would think officials are out to get em.LOL Do officials not enjoy working for coaches that officate more in their games than coach. You betcha . JL was one that would not have been fun to work for. Mo would be another. Both spent way to much time officiating when they should have been worrying about what their teams were doing on the floor. Geno is polar opposite from both Jim and Mo. He's had one T in his 2 years here and I must say that was weak.
If officials have a problem getting along with a certain coach they should tell their supervisor they don't want to work that coach home or away. Problem solved. I had a school west of here that I loved going to until they hired a certain coach. After putting up with him for 2 years we just quit going there. When their AD would call, I just told them I was full on the dates he'd try to give us. Pretty simple. After said coach was gone we went back and enjoyed every minute . WE REALLY DON"T CARE WHO WINS OR LOSES. Can't say 100% feel that way but the majority of officials do.
I spent 23 years officiating and 17 more supervising and assigning officials in the two local conferences and not once did I EVER hear of anyone in this area working with me or under my supervision say they were going to make a call or calls to effect a game or to cause a certain coach or school to lose. Think what you want ,I could never change your opinions but this is from someone who's been there and done that.

I really believe that good teams consistently get the good calls and not so good teams well...............................not so much. A crybaby coach constantly riding the officials might get a couple of 50/50 (charge or block for instance) calls at home but rarely gets even one 50/50 call on the road.
