Sky Frazier leaves the Missouri State team. Coach Barry Hinson has not revealed details yet.Onward and Upward!

Sky Frazier had his best games against Bradley, despite going up against Patrick O'Bryant the past 2 years.
Last year, in the game at Missouri State 2/4/06, he had 8 points and 12 rebounds (his career high for rebounds- he never reached double digit rebounds in any other game in his career). In the game at Bradley 1/25/06, he also had a good game, 9 points, 4 rebounds.
And as a sophomore, 1/5/05, he had 19 points, 6 rebounds in the game at Carver Arena (his career high for points- he never scored more than 14 points in any other game in his career). So maybe it is good for Bradley.

True, he seemed to always play well against Bradley.
But Sky's playing time has very gradually been diminishing.
Some games he didn't even play at all, very odd for a 5th year senior with lots of fine performances on his resume.
Here are some thoughts, backed up with what I have learned from some fans of MSU.
Frazier was a "free spirit". He did his own thing. He did not play within the system and was always being reprimanded.
As his playing time was cut back, he grew more dissatisfied.
Finally, after a couple games where MSU blew out Santa Clara and UWM, Frazier still only got a total of 3 minutes of garbage time, so he decided to offer the coach an ultimatum.
"Play me or I am done", and the coach said "done".
He had fewer minuites than any other player except one, so his loss is not a huge loss.
By the way, one more Valley note.
One of the highly touted incoming freshmen in the Valley, and some people's preseason pick for newcomer of the year, Creighton's Kenny Lawson, "is looking at a possible redshirt."
Another Creighton freshman, D'Angalo Jackson is also looking at a possible redshirt year after recurring ankle problems.

Sky Frazier is a 4th year junior, and on the basis of a new NCAA rule, could be able eligible to play next year at any other NCAA institution if he graduates from MSU and pursues graduate studies at another school.
One article about Frazier said this:
"Frazier said he's leaving open the option of playing one more season of basketball as a graduate student somewhere else.
"I wouldn't mind doing that," he said. "That's not at the top of my list right now, but if the opportunity came about I might do that."
