Can't wait to see how some people spin the headline today in the PJS. Some people on here have been posting mostly gloom and doom outside of Walt and TP wondering where our help would come from. Well last night might have given us some idea. Great to see JS and SZ step up. I've heard nothing but good things about SZ. Do wish OG would get out of his shooting funk. Hear he's a much better shooter than we've seen. I'm blaming it on the 3 point distance.

Freshmen lead the way

wily - there's no question that the freshmen were given a bunch of playing time and a couple of them did well...there's nothing to spin - they did well...
Here are our freshman players' stats per the fibastats site, but note that BP pointed out they are not always accurate
Zecevic- 22:48 min played, 6-14 (42.9% overall), 1-2 on 3-pt, 2-3 on FT, 15 pts, 8 rebs, 1 asst, 2 turnovers, 3 steals
X. Taylor- 14:29 min played, 1-2, 2 pts, 5 rebs, 4 fouls
Swopshire- 20:27 min played, 4-10, 2-3 form 3-pt, 3-4 on FT, 13 pts, 3 rebs, 5 asst, 4 turnovers, 4 steals
I would be happy if they can keep that up but the competition was mighty weak last night - but OK for starters...no spinning - they did a good job.
I think the key player was Jordan Prosser...he is coming through
only 13:53 played but 5-6, 3-6 on FT, 13 pts, 6 rebs
In three games Prosser is 11-14, and averaging 9.3 ppg

The online article has a different title that acknowledges the bigs also made a difference last night-
BU frosh, bigs lead way in Bahamas blowout
Nice to see the freshmen get more playing time and shine. The junior college guys did not have as much success, and we'll need more from them. But it was nice to see them having some fun in a blowout.

But I do have faith that he will keep it going this season and not tail off big-time like he has before. I have not been the biggest JP fan (strictly from a fan perspective who wants to win!)
I'm sure he wants to go out with a bang. I have a gut feeling he might just make more of an impact this season than I thought...in fact, I really didn't want to see him on the court much this coming season to give the newcomers more chances to play, as JP has been given ample time to develop and prove himself.
Very early, but Jordan's offensive production and rebounding have been a good sign. If he can give us 10-15 quality minutes every night, this could be a big boost!
