  • 2014 recruit Alex Sorenson- Dunlap

I have heard that Bradley is following Dunlap's Alex Sorenson, though there has not been an offer yet. He will be a senior on the Dunlap Eagles basketball team that also features Geno Ford's son.
ChicagoHoops.com calls Sorenson "one of the most underappreciated prospects in the state of Illinois."-

Here's another name Bradley just offered...

Brady Ellingson: Hamilton, Sussex, WI - SG: 6-4, 175.

Just picked up a scholarship offer today from Dayton, but is reported here to already have an offer from Bradley

Offers: Bradley, Drake, Oakland, Wright State, Toledo, Ball State, Brown, Citadel, Northern Colorado, South Dakota,
South Dakota State, UC-Davis, Albany. Interest: SLU, George Washington, Mizzou, Wisconsin, Utah, Harvard, Northern Iowa,
Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Wisconsin-Green Bay, Lehigh, Air Force, Utah State, North Dakota State, Cal-Poly, Quinnipiac. Latest (7/29):
SLU coach Jim Crews recently watched Ellingson and Ray Allen Select teammate Riley LaChance, two talented HS shooting guards.
The scouting report on Ellingson is like that on LaChance, a pure shooter who will make the teams that didn't sign him pay come March.
Ellingson showed off his shooting ability in Las Vegas the last weekend of July and received offers from Ball State and Toledo.
Oakland is reportedly recruiting hardest at this point. Twitter: @B_Ellingson22

      Sorenson isn't a MVC-level talent. Ivy maybe...

Alex Sorenson continues to get increasing D1 interest. I actually think he would be a good player in the MVC. He is a similar player to Alec Peters, who turned down multiple MVC offers (Drake, Illinois State, Loyola, & SIU) as well as higher schools like Butler, St. Louis, and Utah and chose Valparaiso. Sorenson's body is still not matured, but I sure he will get stronger, and will get better offers.

Another nice writeup on Alex Sorenson-

They are actually Division II, and participate in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, one of the best DII Conferences in the country.

Bradley has played UW-Parkside twice. The first was an exhibition game on November 1, 2011, in the first game of the Geno Ford era. It stayed close until late in the second half as Bradley pulled away to win 87-77-
PEORIA, Ill. ? Taylor Brown led all players with 25 points and eight rebounds and helped the Bradley to an 87-77 exhibition men's basketball victory versus Wisconsin-Parkside Tuesday night.

They played again last year as an exhibition game in Geno's second season (Nov. 3, 2012) and Bradley routed UW-P 70-42-
PEORIA, Ill. ? Tyshon Pickett led five Bradley players in double-figures with 14 points and added 10 rebounds in his first-ever game at Carver Arena, pacing the Braves to a 70-42 exhibition win.

Oh ok! I know some of the other UW schools are DIII...Platteville,LaCrosse, Oshkosh..But student populationwise they are bigger..10,000 plus. That dwarfs schools like Monmouth, Illinois College, Knox

Nothing against AS but we would have to miss on alot of kids to get to Alex. IMO could be wrong but I liked Alex P much better and I think we did alot better than him with what we brought in , Again IMO

Alex does not have any D1 offers at this point, and most recruiting people don't think he will get any. I hope he does, but IMO we need a point guard and a good-shooting wing guard with our available scholarships.

I would vote for that also. Would like the PG to be a freshmen but would take a highly rated JC.

I believe the story on Hiles Stout in the PJS this morning - is about Alex' grandfather

Great article. I saw that Spalding-Central game. One of the best high school games I ever witnessed. It was a close one and I think Central won. I think Jim Cusack scored about 34 for Spalding. Neither Spalding nor Central had gyms in those days. Roosevelt, with its tile floor, was home court for most ... if not all ... Central games and Spalding played most of its home games on the stage at Woodruff.
