First name on the 2013-14 transfer list? Villanova's Mislav Brzoja. 6-4 Croatian.

I know he only played a few minutes last year and burned his freshman season there, but....he had a good summer playing with the Croatian U19 team --

But there rumors he was looking to transfer way back last April when he got so little consideration for playing time at Villanova -
just hope he doesn't aim way too high for a second time and land on the bench somewhere else...

The 'Nova people thought that would translate into being a key contributor this upcoming season, but maybe he now sees some writing on the wall..
As a freshman, Mislav Brzoja tallied a total of 2 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists in 41 total minutes through the 2012-13 season. The Zagreb native is averaging 18 points a game in three games...

but if is transferring before the school year starts...this will allow him to be eligible at the start of next season instead of waiting until mid-season
as he would have to do if he transferred even one day after the fall session starts...
He definitely has potential and we already have made decent connections with him from the recruiting last year...

Brzoja to Evansville. Looks like we'll see him at Carver after all.

Evansville was one of the schools pursuing him back in the spring of 2012. Too bad we don't have an extra scholarship. I think he'll be a good player in the MVC, and Geno liked him a lot.

The report that he is headed to Evansville comes from ex-Serbian basketball player Miljan Veskovic's tweet - he now is a "FIBA licenced agent", & works for FIBA and covers Eurohoops..
          His web site : http://www.sport-connect.net

It certainly makes sense - if he isn't getting PT at Villanova then he likely will at UE - and he spent time in high school at Traders Point - just 3 hours away.

Mislav Brzoja - already headed to his 3rd college in just one year & transferring to Evansville - said this to one of the European hoops sites...
            (in Croatian - but autotranslated)

"...His new team will be (the) Evansville Aces...

"I'm in the final stage of the transition and the signing of Evansville.
The reason for my transition was for a bigger role on the team.
I wanted to go somewhere where I have the ball in (my) hands and (can contribute)...
I think Evansville has everything I need for my further development as a player. They play in a very good league.."

I wonder if his friend Matej Buovac might consider making the same move since he's barely playing at NMSU.
