  • Now SIU says Brendon Gooch's and Aaron Cook's LOI's are in

Evansville's Dru Smith has a 3pm signing ceremony at his high school in Evansville

No surprises yet...but if there's gonna be a surprise anywhere in the Valley..
I think it'll be a LOI signed for Bradley!

    • Looks like 2 of the 2015 ISU recruiting class has already been pegged for a redshirt year- Matt Hein and Elvis Harvey, according to Pantagraph writer Jim Benson-

I suspect Muller would also like to redshirt freshman Daouda ???David??? Ndiaye, but with Reggie Lynch's unplanned departure, he probably feels he might need him.

From what I've heard, Ndiaye is can be defined as a project in the way that James Baptist was a project...

          • Koch Bar signs with Bradley
Nate Kennell now planning a signing on Thursday
            Andrew Washington with ISU

and Loyola does indeed pull the first surprise - but not a total surprise...

            • ISU gets the LOI on their other recruit Madison Williams
Indiana State gets the signed letter from Jordan Barnes but their other LOI from Nick Robinson is being "held up by a minor problem" - LINK
(hmmm...minor problems often include that bigger schools are telling him to wait or maybe academics are an issue?)

              edit-
now there's also a report that Wichita's Daishon Smith has signed
and the transfers are already enrolled..
...and that same article says Wichita is also hoping for a commitment from juco forward Darrlyn Willis

Missouri State got the LOI's from Alize Johnson & Greg Williams but not Rhodes, and the Indiana State writer was puzzled why they didn't hear anything on Nick Robinson

And Evansville's Dru Smith has scheduled to sign on Thursday
...so, Missouri State's Jarrid Rhodes, and InSU's Nick Robinson were the only two who have not gotten in
their LOI's on the first day or scheduled to sign by Thursday.

I believe that i read that CJs paperwork had to be sent to his family. I'm assuming they have to also sign and weren't able to be present (not sure how all that works and if he's under 18 if it requires a guardian signature)

                • Daouda ???David??? Ndiaye would have made some sense to redshirt if Lynch was still around but he is not. Watching him the other day he will help this year. Also many forget he didn't play at all last year in high school due to eligibility issues. Game experience might be the best thing for him. Harvey makes total sense to redshirt. I am sure in his recruiting process he was told this would be an option. Hein is a coaches kid and a package deal with David. Smart player who in a year or two could give minutes. If not he will prolly transfer to a D2 anyways and I am sure he knew quite well that this was a possibility for him.

                  • Des Moines Register article explains per Drake coach Ray Giacoletti - why they didn't sign anyone

"With a single scholarship available, Drake men??™s basketball coach Ray Giacoletti can afford to be selective.

???We are very particular on what our needs are,??? Giacoletti said.

As a result, the Bulldogs did not sign any recruits Wednesday, waiting instead to find an ideal fit."

                    Interpretation:
We know there are lots of great recruits out there but we totally struck out and couldn't land one - maybe one might suddenly materialize but we won't get desperate and grab just any single digit juco kid left unsigned who wouldn't be able to help us anyway.

                            is really doing well...
last nite 31 pts, 8 rebs - on 11 shot attempts...
He's an Illinois Wolves kid and teammate of Nate Kennell..

also former BU recruit Lamont Walker (Mac Irvin) at Utah State-Eastern (juco) is also doing exceptionally well -
                            20 ppg, 36% on 3's, 8 rpg, 3 apg, and a good defender

both are still uncommitted for 2016
