I think you are right Da Coach. Nate has been attending the open gyms with all the Bradley players and playing well. I think everybody one the team and recruits know there is playing time available if you play hard and impress the coaches. Nate even got to take his older brother Joe (who is a point guard and a good one at that) over to open gym. They both played well and had a lot of fun. Coach Wardle has a knack for building fast relationships with players and recruits and making them feel like family. I would love to see Nate sign and coach Wardle let Joe be a walk on.

reports on the new SIU guys, Mike Rodriguez & Leo Vincent - who were both very late juco additions -
both are still academically ineligible and working this summer at their respective junior colleges to try to complete and pass some necessary courses.

of course their other spring recruit, Rudolfs Stradnieks, is in Italy playing for his home nation's U20 team - thus SIU doesn't have any of their new guys on campus yet - not even the newest guy Sean Lloyd who has said he won't be at SIU 'til August 24
(Lloyd just gained NCAA eligibility because of multiple different high schools, transfers, and prep school credits that needed review)

....and likely won't have the rest until this fall if at all...
Barry continues to back himself into corners with his recruiting...

Evansville - ... Dainus Chatkevicius (don't know what's up with this guy - maybe now off the board as it now appears he has gone to Europe to play professionally? - LINK)

...has enrolled at Vincennes University and will be a juco freshman there - so he will become a 2018 recruit.

This is a great commitment for Barry Hinson to get this early. Brendon Gooch is not highly rated yet, but he is still improving and still growing (he was listed at 6'4" last season and now is listed at 6'6"). He plays for a private high school, Belleville Althoff HS (enrollment about 550), that beat Chicago Morgan Park in last March's Class 3A semifinal game, then lost in the championship game 67-63 to Westchester St. Joseph's.
He has had a good summer in AAU basketball, and according to recruiting sites, he was starting to get attention and was being followed by several MVC schools (he's visited ISU, and Missouri State unofficially) as well as a couple Big Ten schools.

Evansville just added one new player. Ohio University transfer Ryan Taylor, a 6'5" wing player who just finished his freshman year at Ohio U., has committed to transferring to Evansville. That fills the final open scholarshup for Marty Simmons' team. Taylor will have to sit out the 2015-16 season as a D1 transfer, but then he will have 3 remaining seasons of eligibility.

He started 28 of Ohio's 30 games, and played in 29 games. he averaged 30.1 minutes per game (3rd on the team), and averaged 8.1 ppg, 2.5 rpg, and 1.2 apg. He shot 43.3% overall, but just 28.9% from three. His 8.1 ppg was 4th on the team in scoring, and would have been their 2nd leading returning scorer had he stayed at Ohio University.

they have an imbalance in classes...
3 seniors, then 8 juniors...so they are currently pretty experienced at present...

this transfer Ryan Taylor constitutes their entire sophomore class and they have only one incoming freshman as well, Harris Brown.

They have a lot of recruiting to do for 2016 & 2017.

WSU just got 6-5 SG Peyton Allen as a transfer from aTm. He will walk on this fall and be on scholarship in 2016-17 when he will be eligible as a sophomore.

Shockers are also in on several 4* players and a couple 5* players. No idea how that will pan out.
