As I have said before, Ron Baker is a very good MVC player, but IMO he is not big enough, quick enough, athletic enough or a good enough shooter to make it in the NBA.
Since the NBA now allows college players to declare for the draft, attend events and workouts, and then with draw their names and return to college, maybe he would be smart to try that to see how he stacks up against other NBA hopefuls. But in the end, his best move is to return to Wichita State.

As I have predicted since prior to this season when there were some who proclaimed Ron Baker and Fred Van Vleet were likely to declare for the NBA after this season, ESPN's Jeff Goodman now says it's official that they will return to Wichita State for their senior seasons.

Wichita State opened 2 more scholarships yesterday when they announced 2 more players are leaving, Corey Henderson announced he was leaving last week, and now Ria'n Holland and Tevin Glass are leaving.-

- there has never been any official word of Roosevelt Smart signing with Loyola, and some speculation that he was going elsewhere
(Western Kentucky, Butler) - so I suspect he is not going to be at Loyola this fall.
Likewise - the Evansville recruit Dainius Chatkevicius was noted as a commit but since then it is pretty apparent he has never signed a LOI and will not be at Evansville

In today's PJS it was announced that Quintin Brewer will be eligible to play immediately for ISU under the NCAA graduate transfer exception rule. Sorry, I had to post this just to get "Where"s Kirk" off the top list. 29 posts on "Where's Kirk", seriously? IMO, I really don't care. How about "Where's Recruits 6'8" or taller"

I suspect nobody really does care but in the middle of a weekday afternoon I am generally at work, not out golfing - but then I suspect nobody cares where I am either...

but Bradley fans do care where's the good coverage of their favorite team!


time will tell if all these guys (the list of 2015 recruits for MVC teams is now up to 49 new guys) actually end up enrolling and being on the roster next fall
I have changed the guys I think will NOT be on rosters in the fall to Turquoise

But this might be the year of the ROSTER-TURNOVER in the MVC -- like I said there are already somewhere between 47-50 new guys coming into the MVC
this fall, and several teams like Bradley are STILL not done recruiting so there could be 50-55 new guys by the time all is said & done.
If each of ten MVC teams has 13 scholarship players then this list of 50 or so new guys represents almost 40% of MVC players this coming year will be NEW guys -
probably an all time record year for roster turnover!
