  • Replacement for Molinari

I just had to post this article by a well respected Twin Cities (MN) Pioneer Press sports writer.
I guess it goes to show no matter how good a sports writer you are, there will always be fits of insanity!

He proposes that the University of Minnesota replace Jim Molinari with....(gasp)....Larry Eustachy.

Yani Cohen calls this idea "Worst suggestion ever".

Agreed. Eustachy? No way... If you read the article you will notice the mention of Tony Bennett. He would be the polar opposite of Eustachy in many ways and especially in his behavior. How could someone suggest those two in the same article and have credibility?

I'm sure the Eustachy connection is born from the fact that he previously coached at Iowa State.....nothing more.

This is total speculation. No truth to it, but word is that Kevin McHale is gonna be out with the T-wolves after this year. What about him as the new head coach at Minnesota. Who else to turn that program around, than the favorite son. Just a thought.

Here is just one more non-alcoholic reason to steer clear of Larry Eustachy.

12% graduation rates during his tenure at Iowa State
