  • 2013-14 season starts in 4 weeks

It doesn't seem possible but Bradley's 2013-2014 season starts 4 weeks from today! Actually, it starts a little earlier with 10 practices prior to the trip to the Bahamas. But then after a flight to Nassau, Bahamas, the BU men play their first game Monday, August 12 against the Commonwealth Giants in the Summer of Thunder.

Here is Bradley's Schedule in the 2013 Summer of Thunder Classic

    Date Day Opponent Time (CDT)
Monday Aug. 12 Commonwealth Giants 8:00 PM
Tuesday Aug. 13 Real Deal Shockers 8:00 PM
Wednesday Aug. 14 PJ Stringers 8:00 PM
Thursday Aug. 15 Mail Boat Cybots 6:00 PM
All games played at Sir Kendal Isaac’s Gymnasium in Nassau, Bahamas

Does anyone know if there will be any radio coverage or streaming available for these games?

The 5th annual Summer of Thunder starts August 2nd with Manhattan University playing the first game against the PJ's Stingers.
The teams from the Bahamas that are involved include the MailBoat Cybots, the Commonwealth Bank Giants, the Real Deal Shockers, the Bahamas All-Stars, the New Providence All-Stars, the PJ's Stingers, the Street Legends All-Stars, and one team from Grand Bahama Island.
There are scheduled to be 12 Division I college teams touring and playing a total of 42 games.
The 8 college teams announced so far include- Manhattan University, University of Maryland, South Carolina State University, Canisius College, Bradley University, Kent State University, Wisconsin-Green Bay, and Mississippi (though another source says it's Southern Mississippi). There were initially supposed to be a total of 12 schools, but so far, these are the only schools that I can find mentioned anywhere.
And mysteriously, most of the schools listed do not even mention their upcoming Bahamas trip anywhere on their website (Manhattan is the only one that does), so it might be possible that some of these may have dropped out.

    ..
I have just heard from a pretty solid source there will be no coverage via broadcast and currently no plans to stream

Bobby Parker did an outstanding job on the Brazil trip getting info and box scores, so I am sure we can count on him again

I got an email back from Bobby confirming there will be no video streaming available for the Bahamas games. They are still working on the possibly of providing an audio stream on the Bradley website, but that may prove too difficult to do.
However, Bobby will be "providing updates throughout the trip and games via a combination of my Twitter account and likely a blog on BradleyBraves.com."
