Funny that the guy uses the name Southwest Missouri State 8 times in the article and never gets the new name correct. But this is a guy who makes his living gambling on basketball games, so he should know what he's talking about."Peoria, land of 10,000 coaches"

"Doug Elgin, commissioner of the Missouri Valley, believes his conference is as good as any in the country with the exception of the Big East."
This is an interesting quote, considering it was made before the tournament began. What would Elgin say now?
WSU def. SHU
SIU lost WVU
UNI lost GU
BU def. UP
The Valley is 2-2 against the Big Least in the Dance.
64My first BU hoops game was on 12/30/1963. My dad took me to watch the Braves defeat Arizona 67-59. He helped me get Coach Orsborn's autograph before the game.

Did anyone else see the interview with Elgin by Lee Hall? I want to say Elgin said something to the fact that teams get 1.2 million per unit ( I assume this means per game) and it is shared by the whole conference being paid over a period of 6 years! If anyone heard this or knows for sure please post......but this seems pretty neat with a total of 8 units under my count so far!
