Is that .490 shooting percentage better or worse
than his FATHER's career 3-pt shooting percentage
for the FOUR full years that father Greg McDermott played at Northern Iowa?

NO - it is NOT better than his dad's career 3-pt shooting percentage...
For Greg McDermott's first two seasons at UNI (1984-85 & 1985-86) - there was no 3-pt shot in college basketball
Then in 1986-87 Doug McDermott was 0-1 from the arc, and in 1987-88 he was 1-1 -
so his career 3-pt pct is .500 - better than his son's!
