it's a long way off but what will our starting lineup be...?

And just for fun - here's a pick-em with prize to be determined later...

GUESS THE STARTING LINEUP FOR THE FIRST PRESEASON EXHIBITION GAME -

The date and opponent are yet to be determined - but it'll be the first game vs. outside competition.
Remember - every year we have virtually NOBODY who gets it right because we have injuries, & last year had suspensions that were unforseen.
Deadline will be 48 hrs prior to tip off and anyone who wants to make a guess now can amend it or change it up to the deadline!!

Here's my picks...

I think what you have is the safe bet. However, I have a feeling that Geno is going to be looking for something a little different out of his starting 5.

I think the key is "first preseason exhibition game". That's why I think tornado's line-up is the safe bet. Once things that really matter start happening, I think Swopshire and Blake could be in the starting line-up.

That is a skinny line-up wily. I think if Swop starts, it will be at the 3. The more I'm hearing about Grier, the more that I think he'll be a 15-20 mpg specialist.

Despite only returning TWO regular starters from last season....
we will be the only team who start a player who ranks inside the TOP THREE in the league among returning players
in SCORING, REBOUNDING, ASSISTS, and STEALS...

We have the top returning scorer - Walt Lemon, Jr. at 15.6 ppg
We have the 2nd leading returning rebounder - Tyson Pickett at 5.5 rpg
.............the 3rd leading player in assists - Walt at 3.8 apg
.............and the leading guy in steals - Walt at 2.1 spg

based on what was said in the teleconference (see other thread) Ka'Darryl will not likely be in the starting lineup any time in the early season...

Sounds like Barnes is doing well and him and Swoopshire will compete for the 3 position. Prosser and Blake should compete for the 5.

For the first preseason game I'll say:

Fields, Lemon, Barnes, Pickett, Prosser

I'm hoping by the regular season it is:

Fields, Lemon, Swoopshire, Pickett, Prosser

I hope JP improves enough to earn the starting spot and have two good centers with Blake splitting time with him at the 5 and some Taylor at the 4 and 5 as well.
