  • Big trouble for Bob Huggins and Kansas State?

Trouble has a tendency to follow Bob Huggins pretty closely.

    The good news:
High school phenom Bill Walker was able to graduate high school and enroll at Kansas State this month. He was to become eligible to play in their next game in just 6 days:

But here is the problem: there is a strong rumor that one of the Kansas State players has been or will be arrested on an assault charge. It should become public very soon and may become an embarrassment to K-State.

Interesting stories coming out of K-State, especially after last night's game.
They played a pretty weak opponent, Maryland-Eastern Shore, so of course attendance was down.
But after months of reports of how season ticket sales had gone though the roof, and that over 12,000 season tix had been sold, the arena (capacity=13,340) was virtually empty last night.
They reported an attendace of about 8,000, but reports suggest it was way less than that, one report citing a bit over 6,000 at best.

Then apparently in his post game show, Kansas State head coach Bob Huggins said something that must have been a pretty good rip on the attendance and the fans, as several posters on their message boards appear to have taken it a bit personally.
Now there are rumors that there's no way the fan base at K-State is ever going to keep Huggy happy, and that the fans fully expect him to get a better offer and move on to somewhere else in a few years.

    How ironic.
