BeBrave,
I dont see any let down over all in the traffic. There are times when traffic is heavier than other times but that is normal. I have not ever been told to shut up or watch what I say. I think if a person is personnally demeaning to another poster then they should be deleted. This is an exchange for ideas and information
I don't know if you are an older poster under a new name...but it says you joined in January of 2013...
the traffic on this board as far as posting (I obv don't have viewing numbers) it drastically down...and everyone knows that.

Yes, there are fewer posts, but it is not any more than it is every year at this time, and it has mostly to do with the time of the year- This is strictly a basketball board, and this is off season. There have been months of June and July in past years when we would go days between new topics, and sometimes even days between posts. The other obvious factor is that fan interest overall has been down. All anyone has to do is check the attendance and ticket sales numbers to see a huge dropoff in those areas.
But I do have the numbers, and I can tell you from the actual statistics collected by the server that the traffic, as measured by unique visitors and actual visits and page-hits is still doing amazingly well. The traffic this month is down about 1/3 from the peak traffic we got in this past February and March (due just to the time of year- offseason- and typical for this time of year), but it is still better than it was for this same time last year or any previous May-June period. This site has grown substantially every year. We had over 11 million page hits in the month of March, and we are continuing to see 6-7 million per month even in these off months. I think that is extraordinay (averaging over 200,000 page-views per day!).
The other factor we measure traffic by is the ad revenue and the click-through rates on the banner ads. Those are at all-time highs, and for the first time since this board was started in January, 2005, every month this year the ad revenues have greatly exceeded the monthly operating costs of this site. So this site is doing very well, even if the number of postings right now don't show it. People are still visiting in record numbers. We thank you.
Ok if you say so. Thank you for being concerned when i joined. I have been viewing this board for a number of years But just recently joined to jump into the fray. I dont count the posts. This is a very important and informative website that i enjoy reading several times a day to find out information and read others ideas. I dont care how many posts there are. I know my posts are new as compared to a year ago so that is a plus. I think there are more posts in the winter than in the summer becasue a lot of people get the fever around October and start to tune in.. Me.. I got the fever all year round. I cant wait till the start of the season. I go thru withdrawals in the summer. Whew! I typed alot. Probably enough for a couple posts. Time for my nap now

i wasn't attacking you/making fun of you..its obvious if you were a newer member.. (I am not a wizard so I didn't know you have lurked for years) that you wouldn't know what the traffic was like 2 years ago.
either way traffic is down. whether it's the off-season or back during the season.
no one talks in post game threads when there used to be 2-3 duplicate post game threads pop up every game night.

we suck though so its understandable
Oh I did not take it that way. You were giving an opinion and how you felt. That is what this site is for..express ones opinion. One of my biggest fears with the Bradley program is people will become complacent and quit voicing their opnions. That means they have accepted mediocrity. That I fear the most. When that happens we are done for as a program. I agree with Tornado that when the program starts back on a winning note the people who are on the fringe will be back. We will rock the house again!
LOLZ- the only thing it confirms is that Benson knows about the same as everyone on RBF... and that is very little. There is zero confirmation of anything

I disagree as Jim Benson goes several steps further than anyone on the message boards..
he talks specifically with the right people at the Missouri Valley Conference offices and details something that probably not even one person in 100 knew even if they were top MVC fans...
that ... "...once a student-athlete signs a national letter of intent with an MVC school,
he must sit two years to transfer to another school within the conference.
Also, the two-year clock wouldn??™t start until the student-athlete ENROLLS at a collegiate institution."
plus he details the issues between Wichita State & ISU that make the probability of getting a waiver a bit low - or as he puts it... "How about zero?"
