just as I thought -- the only two examples other than walk ons were both not PEORIA KIDS - THEY WERE Washington & Limestone kids - and I had already pointed out above that we were frequently getting those kids anyway (Crouch, Pross, etc..) because the "players" in Peoria have little influence on kids from the schools outside of Peoria.

... Outside of Peoria, where those "influences" have virtually NO power - and under Bich - where that "influence" was negated -
then you see we DID land Jeremy Crouch, Dyricus, Prosser, Dodie, Ruffin, Cellus...

I don't get it - you constantly try to come up with some irrelevant and picky claim as if there was NO anti-BU influence among a few PEORIA basketball coaches back in the 90's and since.
The influence came largely from ONE PERSON and it still exists somewhat, to this day.
I don't care if you choose to disbelieve or deny it - but will not sway the obvious that THERE was a powerful trend to steer PEORIA kids away from any involvement with Bradley.
BUT that trend only exists with Peoria kids - the suburb kids have always been more open to Bradley - so it's apples & oranges...
I have seen the evidence 1st hand, some of those involved even spoke LOUDLY and even swore they would work to see that Bradley NEVER got another Peoria kid when their favorite was not hired as head coach in 2002, and as I noted earlier I have heard Bradley head coaches speak about the situation that you seem to want to deny.


Last thought - does anyone recall the incident more than a decade ago when the brother of a prominent local basketball figure caused a fracas
behind the Bradley bench during a game and had to be escorted and ejected from the arena? He could be heard loudly spewing threats
that he & his 'friends' would make sure no Peoria kid would ever play for Bradley - PM me...
