Gordon is the replacement for Remy Abell..

Evan Gordon is 6-1, & averaged 12.5 pts/40 minutes played on 39% shooting overall & 34.7% shooting from 3-pt - and was definitely NOT known for his defense

Remy Abell is 6-4, and averaged 12.8 pts/40 minutes played on 47% shooting overall & 49% shooting from 3-pt - but was definitely known as a big, and talented defender at the CG position

Clearly Crean is stepping down in a year where they will struggle to stay at .500 due to the huge loss of their starting talent.

News on another available transfer, who once visited and considered Bradley-
Jared Drew is a 6'5" guard/forward from Indianapolis (Cathedral HS) who was a 2012 recruit who visited Bradley but ended up committing to Rick Majerus and St. Louis University. But he was just told by new St. Louis coach Jim Crews that his scholarship would not be renewed, and he is looking to transfer.

Bradley does not have an open scholarship, but apparently our recruiting is still "fluid".
Schools that have reportedly already inquired about Jared Drew include-
Ball State, IPFW, IUPUI, UC-Davis, Southern Illinois-Edwardsville, New Orleans and Florida Atlantic.

Drew never played even a single minute this year for SLU - so he still has four years of eligibility - but..if he chooses D-I then he'll have to spend one of those years sitting out.

When people rail against the inequities of the NCAA, they're typically talking about money. A college basketball coach can make $10 million in a year because he generates that much value for his university, but also because that money has to go somewhere, and it certainly isn't going to the players.

Jared Drew was denied a waiver to be eligible right away so he will go to juco and play at Lakeland this year then be eligible at D-I next year with 3 years of D-I eligibility

how about a question that's sort of a poll --

we happen to have a bunch of guys who will debut this fall for Bradley that were SPRING RECRUITS or spring signees...
Grier, Fields, Blake, Swopshire, Barnes...

who was Bradley most effective spring recruit?? Many of our spring verbals have been kids that did not pan out
- Rashad Austin, Shayok, Andrew Davis ..but who have we gotten in the late period that really paid off?

Taylor Brown?
Dyricus?

I will go with this guy and hope someone else on the current squad challenges him for superiority among spring recruits
