Just kidding- but Nate Robinson was pretty darn good tonight. The Bulls upset the Miami Heat tonight in game 1 of the Eastern Conference semifinals 93-86-
Nate is playing out of his mind right now and I'd go as far as to say they're playing better with him than they would be with a 95% D-Rose. It's going to be tough watching Nate play somewhere else next year.
You do have to wonder what the Bulls chemistry would be with D.Rose coming on the court after the bulls have played 90 games with out him. Not saying they don't need him but maybe not this year.

It's just unreal when you compare the Bulls starting line-up to the Heat. You would think the Heat would be up by 15+ at the half and on their way to a cakewalk win.
Their chemistry in the past 2 games has been incredible.
Can they keep it going???
Four starters not even dressed (Deng, Rose, Hamilton, Hinrich) - 4th string PG playing a key role (Teague), and the Bulls still had them heading for the exits before the game was over!
Impressive job by all the Bulls players & staff!

I don't believe Hamilton is hurt. He just fell out of Thib's rotation in the playoffs. Jimmy Butler is the starting SG when he isn't taking Deng's place, and Marco is his backup.
I feel a little bad for Tom Thibodeau - was not given the Coach of the Year Award...
actually even an insult - he finished 8th in voting!!!
can't say George Karl didn't deserve it, too but he had a healthy lineup and finished exactly where he was predicted he'd finish - 2nd in his division behind the Thunder.
Like Denver - the Bulls also played the 4-5 post-season matchup - but played almost the entire season with at least 2 and as many as 4 starters out..

I really think Spolstra should have been COTY. It has always been annoying that the coaches on the best teams hardly ever win the award. 66 regular season wins, a 27 game streak, including finishing the season 41-2 (finished with over a .800 win %). All that with the ability to juggle the wants and needs of multiple superstars. Not to mention scouting and bringing in Chris Andersen who has been absolutely tremendous for the Heat. Spolstra is the best in the league at making players buy into a system and making all of them happy to be apart of his team.
[QUOTE=BuBraves55;280330]Got rid of Phil, MJ, Pippen, .. Rose?
Just a reminder that the Bulls (i.e. Jerry Krause) didn't "get ride of" Pippen, Jordan, Phil.....they left on their own volition. And...poisoned the well behind them so that free agents stayed away big time.

true - but there are those who will say Pat Riley has assembled a team of superstars and laid them in Spoelstra's lap - and that just about anyone could coach those guys into first place..

Yea, but it has been proven, over and over again that that is not the case. Just one example is this years Lakers. Also Celtics teams of half a decade ago could have and many say should have won more than one championship. There are other examples, but you see where I am going with this. In fact, the only recent coach I can think of that had as much success (as Spolstra has potential) with a handful of superstars is of course, Phil Jackson. And I think Phil Jackson only won COTY 1 time?? That is a crying shame, for a man who has won 11 titles, and is the top coach to have on anyone's list even today.
