Ex-Missouri State coach Cuonzo Martin - who is now head coach at Tennessee...
had signed Travon Landry last fall but he did not have a very good senior season - so Martin flatly told him he'd never play at Tennessee and so he "released" the kid.
The kid's father said that just 10 days earlier assistant Tracy Martin had told him that "nothing had changed" and the scholarship was still in effect. The fact the Cuonzo landed a better PG probably factored in.
