Did the Valley ever have any interest in Davidson? or maybe better question would Davidson ever have any interest in the Valley?

Davidson's in Charlotte. Not on the MVC's radar, I hope.

The significant development is what DC said - the A-10 escape hatch is closing. It won't be there for us or Wichita or anyone else west of Dayton at least.

St. Louis remains in the A-10 for now, but most people expect that will be short-lived, as St. Louis and Dayton will likely join the Big East in the next year or two. The two A-10 teams that already left are Butler and Xavier, 2 of the farthest western schools. The A-10 had a chance to consider adding schools in the midwest, but instead moved to add Davidson, as well as George Mason, and now is reportedly considering Siena. There are plenty of midwestern options, but not a single one considered. This signals the A-10's desire to be an East Coast conference, IMO. If Bradley had any thoughts about joining the A-10, this should put an end to them.

Right. If St. Louis and Dayton both end up in the Big East (as is expected), Pittsburgh will be the western-most city in the A-10, making a very much an east coast conference once again.
