Kobe Bryant career threatening injury

sadly Kobe had a major achilles injury last night..

a lot of people are noting that in a desperation effort to make the playoffs - Kobe's minutes have gone up -- way up....
he tore his achilles last night after already playing the entire game -
the time of the injury was 3:06 remaining in the 4th quarter and Kobe had played 44:54...Kobe also played ALL 48 minutes on Wednesday..

Is this coaching wisdom to be playing a 17-year veteran so many minutes ??

Now Kobe has been diagnosed with a torn right rotator cuff and plans to undergo surgery -
the minimum this kind of injury & surgery would take would be 8-12 weeks before he could shoot basketballs - and more than likely then this means he is done for the season.
Will he come back, will he retire, will he ask for a trade?? Let the talk & speculation begin...

I heard espn list statistics that proved the Lakers play better without Kobe as he is not a team player and does not share the ball. The Lakers have been winning more games without Kobe.
