Reynolds: Injury bug bites Bradley mens basketball...

In his article, Dave Reynolds said this-
Set to arrive at BU on Friday night for an official visit was 6-5 wing forward Deshawn Delaney of Chicago. Delaney, who averaged 17.8 points and 9.2 rebounds as a Vincennes College (Indiana) freshman, helped his team to second place in the NJCAA national tournament.
Delaney, who would have three years of Division I eligibility, has future visits scheduled to New Mexico and Texas A&M.
But Dave's facts just don't seem correct. Deshawn Delaney has played the last 2 full seasons at Vincennes junior college, and he was a sophomore this past season. I don't see how he would has 3 years of eligibility left.
2011-2012 Deshawn Delaney appeared in all 31 games at Vincennes
2012-2013 Delaney appeared in all 37 games
I think he would just have 2 years left. His correct averages were 15.8 ppg and 8.1 RPG this past season.

Grier better be able to shoot right away, but I still see no starters on this team that can shoot if he is not a starter right away. I see a lot of zone in our future if that is the case.

"don't seem correct"??
how can Dave Reynolds say this - surely he knows that Delaney has played two years at Vincennes...
On Vincennes' own web site it is clear he's a sophomore...and in past columns - Dave has stated plainly that Delaney's a sophomore with two years of eligibility left
BTW_ Dave is also wrong that
"Delaney.. helped his team to second place in the NJCAA national tournament"
...because they did not finish 2nd - they finished 4th
and anyway - the NJCAA web site says Delaney's averages are 15.8 ppg & 8.1 rpg - not 17.8 & 9.2
As a juco freshman - the season DR appears to not know about - Delaney averaged 18.7ppg & 9.2 rpg
Lastly - those serious injuries to key returning players lessen whatever benefit there was from playing those extra games after a long arduous season?
PS- Allen Roberts only shot 38.8% from the floor overall and only 30.2% from 3-pt in the MAC - with a bad 1:2 assist to turnover ratio
...and although I assume they are implying Roberts would be immediately eligible - nobody actually ever says so...
he's played 3 seasons and spent four years at Miami - he has only one year left - if he has to sit out due to transfer then he needs a waiver..
